My background in fitness and self-defense started in the US Navy. After I got out I found work in the construction industry and over time I lost that “edge” and camaraderie that one has during military training. I wanted both back not to mention I had gained over 70 pounds since separating the service. So I searched and came across Krav Maga and Crossfit, two things at the time I knew nothing about.
I decided to first try out Krav Maga and let me tell you my first class was brutal, but I fell in love immediately. Next I slowly worked in Crossfit and that too was awesome. Low and behold the weight came off, my energy skyrocketed, strength increased(still does), I got my “edge” back, along with some much needed confidence and oh yeah the camaraderie /community is second to none.
Fast forward two years later and I was asked if I would be interested in teaching Krav Maga. An honor that I did not take lightly because I owe it to the community to pay it forward. I truly believe that you cannot keep something unless you give it away, the more an instructor passes along their knowledge the better the student and teacher become together. I look forward to helping everyone at Blue Titan meet their goals and get home safe!
